As part of a push to get more of my profile out in front of all the wonderful people of LinkedIn, I had the bright idea to create a series of 1 to 2 minute videos on Product Design. No tutorials for tools, just Product Design principles and examples from some of my work history.
While I didn’t get the traction I wanted from LinkedIn, I also put them on on TikTok and Instagram. Interestingly I got more engagement and watch time from both of those platforms than LinkedIn, who would have guessed?
The series

What’s next?
I’ll make more videos but overall the 2 minute format felt too constraining for me. The challenge to condense a particular topic was fun and pushed me creatively, but each one really needed more time for me to feel great about the topic and feel like I was giving out actionable information.
